About CRC

Based in Albany, New York, the Capital Region Celtic Pipe Band combines the entertainment of public performances with the challenge of pipe band competitions to create an organization that is both fun and musically challenging.  CRC is comprised of players at all levels, as it fields bands for parades as well as Grade 4, and Grade 3 pipe band competitions.  The band’s dedicated membership make it one of the most enjoyable pipe bands of the region.

The band carries on the tradition of the Great Highland Bagpipe and Drum, ancient arts that remain extremely popular at today’s parades and festivals. The music they play is drawn from the marches, airs, and dance music of Scotland and Ireland.
