I first played this parade 13 or 14 years ago with the Taconic Pipe Band out of Hoosic Falls, NY. We would march down from the school to the firehouse, around the block back to the firehouse and march into the crowd playing. Then we had free beer and hot dogs.
I think we did this a few times in the early 80s, then stopped for a while. Not sure when we restarted it but I’m guessing mid to late 90s? Conflicts with Round Hill?
