Lake George Fireman’s Parade

It didn’t rain! We sounded good and the crowd seemed happy with all the music and highly polished fire engines. It is a nice parade to hear bands as many of the fire departments hire them – from fife and drum to bugle corp to bagpipe and school bands. It is a huge parade and we were toward the beginning. The last I saw of our bass drummer he was running back to his car to change so he could march with his fire company – Palenville – further back in the lineup.

Most of doing a parade is driving, dressing and tuning – oh and the big one – waiting!
