Berlin Parade 2009
ByIt began with a bit of rain but cleared up and turned into a perfect day to celebrate the 4th. We had a big pipe section and sounded good. Per usual we hung around the firehouse afterwards socializing and drinking free beer though we didn’t get to march into the crowd there as the route was changed taking us back to the start instead of to the firehouse.

One of my favorite parades of the year. Short and sweet, no long waiting time, and the town of Berlin considers us there own. We sounded good, looked good, free beer and hot dogs at the end. That is the 4th of July!!
(plus I got to see my nieces, one who was 2 floats in front of us)
Berlin took our card for Flag Day next year,something to think about. I really enjoy the small town atmosphere and enthusiasm.
It was really nice to see the turn out and hang out with everyone as well.

No doubt this is my favorite of the year… and the reroute wasn’t that big a deal as there was plenty of parking right down at the FH. See you next year Berlin!!
