May 16th — the Grade 3 band finished 4th overall at the Colonial Highland Games in Elkton, Maryland this weekend.  Full results are available on the EUSPBA website here: http://results.euspba.org/reportgen/Reports/2009_Colonial_Highland_Gathering.html

9 bands competed in the MSR event on a warm humid day with rain threatening most of the day.

The band is happy with the early season results and looking forward to our next event at the Round Hill Games.

Niska Day Parade

Posted by: mhatcher | Comments (1)

The Grade 4 had a beautiful day for marching in the Niska Day parade. Garth did a great job as Pipe Major his first time out. I think there was some grumbling at the end when we played through a set  3 times but it made a nice finish as that was the biggest crowd and the reviewing stand. Ron and Jenny put on a nice spread in their backyard so we could all relax and refuel.
