Wine & Dine for the Arts

For those interesting in supporting the local arts:

The Capital of New York’s top chefs and restaurants will be hosting 3 days of events throughout Albany to support the Arts. Included will be special food and wine pairings each day, cooking demonstrations, and wine tasting seminars; concluding on Saturday evening with the chef’s grand dinner and wine auction to benefit Capital Rep.

Beginning Drum Class

There aren't too many things more exciting than playing in a drum line.

There aren't too many things more thrilling than playing in a drum line in a bagpipe band.

The Capital Region Celtic Pipe Band will be offering a drumming class starting on January 12th,  from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. You do not need to have any experience or know how to read music as those topics will be included in this introductory course. Start the new year off right learning a new skill and having a whole lot of fun.

Intro Class at Knowledge Network

CRC will again be offering an intro to bagpiping class at the Knowledge Network. We will be covering the history of the pipes and the uniform.

Inserts are Pat and Martin teaching.

There will be a demonstration of the pipes and some video of the World’s competition in Scotland. Students will get a hands on  practice chanter lesson to learn the scale and perhaps part of a tune.
